It is important to understand the difference between a directory and a referral service. The following is a list of anger management providers and not a referral service. We do not in any way recommend or guarantee the quality of the services provided by any of the businesses listed.

The Anderson & Anderson anger management provider list is designed to provide consumers with local resources of self-identified anger management providers. As our society has become more pressured, so has the need for stress related interventions such as anger and stress management. As the first global provider of anger management facilitator certification, it seemed logical that Anderson & Anderson should provide consumers with a list of resources in their respective communities.

In the absence of state or local provider standards, consumers are advised to carefully review the training and experience of the providers listed in the guide. This resource guide is offered as a service from Anderson & Anderson. We are not responsible for any of the providers on this list.

None of these providers are authorized to train others in the use of the Anderson & Anderson model of Anger Management. Nor are they authorized to offer Executive Coaching/Anger Management using the Anderson & Anderson Curriculum.

Anderson & Anderson Los Angeles County Provider List

There are no state laws that regulate anger management. Neither the LA County Probation Department nor any other agency is involved in certifying anger management programs. The list of probation-approved batterers intervention programs is solely for domestic violence perpetrators. Domestic violence programs are inappropriate for addressing issues of anger management in non-intimate relationships. Therefore, as a nationally recognized leader in providing interventions, resources, and provider certifications in anger management, Anderson & Anderson has compiled a list of programs currently using the Conover Assessment and Gaining Control of Ourselves, a widely recognized anger management workbook. We do not in any way guarantee the quality of the services provided by any of the businesses listed. A complimentary copy of this publication in English or Spanish will be provided upon request to any officer of the court.

AAAMP

Professional mental health organizations are carefully looking at anger management as an area of specialization to add to their turf. Unless providers of anger management organize to represent our own interests, we will be defined by others whose interests may not coincide with those of us who work daily to provide these services. Therefore, The American Association of Anger Management Providers is being formed to address these issues. AAAMP Membership is open to all professional anger management providers and facilitators. Visit the American Association of Anger Management Providers website for more information.
